Mowerpartsforless.com is a the online store for Mike's Mower Parts, located in Gentry Arkansas, in the northwest part of the state. This site is focused on the parts and repair issues of mower decks. My parts store (and repair shop) is a good opportunity for customers in the local community, but my hopes with this site is to focus in on deck issues, and helping more customers with their deck parts and tips. Over 20 years of experience selling mower parts helps in getting my customers the right parts at fair prices. Mowers, such as Craftsman, MTD, Murray or Poulan Pro, may not be as heavy duty as the more exspensive commercial mowers available, but they are great value, and do a great job, and repair parts are less on these type of mowers.

SPINDLES! Damage to a spindle is common, some ground hates mowers, unless you have softer rocks, or soft tree roots, something has to give occasionally. When the damage is to the spindle housing, a new one must be put on, and tearing up an expensive 'factory original' part is not your only option with many mowers. In some cases, even heavy duty spindles are available (aftermarket). Murray and Craftsman are two examples.
Don't forget the bolts! Tappered thread cutting bolts make replacing unthreaded spindle housing much easier. Most housings are aluminum and the bolts cut threads as it is mounted to the deck.
Replace missing or damaged grass deflectors. Car windows, animals, and people are not rock resistant. It is dangerous, ( and expensive) to use mowers without these. A small piece of rope will allow the user to pull up on the chute to clear trees etc, and save damage to the chute.
